Local General Contractor is in search of a Construction Superintendent who is well seasoned in performing commercial projects. Government experience is preferred but not necessary. The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
Oversee the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment, materials, and progress of the project.
Work with contractors to complete projects within the given budget and time-frame.
Become familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Reports to the Contract’s Project Manager or Chief Superintendent.
Required or desired experience:
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience with at least two as lead Superintendent on a ground up construction and/or renovations projects.
Current CQC Certificate.
Experience with Government contracts in Indiana.
Experience with Federal/Military contracts
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
Knowledge of all OSHA Safety regulations plus current OSHA 30 Certification.
Current CPR/First Aid Training.
Strong communications skills, verbal and written.
Ability to build strong relations with Customers, and maintain them.
Aptitude to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Must be eligible for employment in the United States and have the ability to pass a Federal Government background security check.
