Seeking a Direct Hire - 2nd shift Plastic Manufacturing Technician Supervisor - Injection Molding

Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

The Multi-Shot Supervisor works in a team environment to coordinate the processing of materials and manufacturing of products. This individual directs production team members to develop an effective and efficient workforce. This individual also sets and processes injection molds in molding machines according to scheduling priorities. This role is a vital component in the company’s goals of scrap reduction, on-time deliveries, high quality products and machine efficiencies. The Plastics Supervisor Technician reports directly to the Production Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizes and allocates team members based on production demands.

Coordinates and oversees training of team members.

Ensures conformity to production requirements including the utilization of their authority to stop production to correct quality problems when needed.

Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

Ensure that team members under his/her supervision comply with the company employment guidelines as stated in the team member handbook.

Directs team members to adhere to policies, procedures, work instructions and record keeping.

Communicates and coordinates the need for production team members with the human resources team.

Ensure all materials are maintained for production. Material changes when applicable.

Troubleshoot processes to ensure quality standards are met during production of molded parts

Maintains awareness of their impact on product quality and the importance of their activities in achieving, maintaining and improving quality according to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, as applicable.

Complies with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Performs all other duties as assigned that may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Highly motivated and able to work independently.

A willingness to maintain technological competency is necessary to manage a world class manufacturing setting.

Must be a team player, able to work successfully with interdependent teams.

Must know how to operate a forklift

Good communication skills, team oriented and a self-starter.

EXPERIENCE:

Two to four years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Two years of injection molding experience preferred.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.
