ICU Nurse at Riverview Health are meticulously organized and know their stuff. ICU nurses look at every body system as interconnected and provide each patient with an individualized plan of care, often watching patients progress from critical illness to health. It’s hard to catch an ICU nurse off-guard with a question about their patients’ care.
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Functions:
- Assume responsibility for acutely ill patients and coordinate other clinical and support staff in delivering exceptional care.
- Oversee accurate and ongoing physical, psychological, social, safety, educational and discharge needs of each patient
- Document patient information in the electronic medical record to ensure safe, timely and effective care.
- Demonstrate skills in infection prevention and actively work to ensure patient rights are met
