Job Description Summary:The Solar Field Service Technician will perform field maintenance and learn to follow safe work practices of the solar industry. This Technician will be part of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) division.Operations and Maintenance (O&M)There are several different aspects of solar O&M:
Preventative maintenance: The routine inspection and servicing of equipment to avoid breakdowns and needless production losses
Corrective maintenance: Repairs after a breakdown occurs to minimize unplanned downtime
Condition-based maintenance: Using real-time data to predict breakdowns and prioritize activities and resources; offered by an increasing number of third-party integrators and turnkey providers
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform basic solar equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks under supervision and utilizing monitoring programs.
Replace or repair solar parts and/or equipment under supervision.
Service solar equipment at solar plant.
Respond “on‐call” as directed to assist in emergency equipment repairs.
Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed
Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
