Job Description: Warehouse Supervisor
We are representing a company seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor. Details about the company can be shared during the interview process. This position is assigned to a location within ten miles of the Indianapolis International Airport.
Essential Functions
-Supervise, lead, and assign the work of warehouse staff members.
-Provide training and guidance in alignment with company SOPs.
-Demonstrate appropriate behavior and best practices for staff members to follow.
-Monitor a variety of work processes, including: picking, packing, shipping, assembly, kitting, and fulfillment.
-Determine priorities and organize work assignments as necessary to reach productivity goals.
-Ensure work areas are clean and organized and support the company’s safe working practices.
-Collaborate with internal staff members dedicated to customer support, and partner with them on resolving problems and increasing customer retention.
-Consistently report to work on time.
Education, Experience, and Skills
-High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year or 4-year degree in management, supply chain/logistics, business, or similar is preferred.
-Must have prior experience in a warehouse function, which includes direct supervision of warehouse staff.
-Must be able to set and change priorities effectively.
-Intermediate or higher level of knowledge with general shipping procedures and industry best-practices.
-Functional understanding and ability to effectively work on Windows-based PCs, including but not limited to: email, spreadsheets, word processors, shipping/inventory software.
-Strong communication skills in verbal and written form; bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands
-Must be able to walk, sit, and/or stand up while working for eight (8) hours per day, or more if overtime is required.
-Must be able to work on a computer using a keyboard and mouse, and able to view computer screens.
-Must be able to lift and carry items that weigh up to 50 pounds.
-Must be able to kneel, squat, twist, bend, and perform similar body motions as needed to grasp and move items.
Working Hours
-This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 6:00am-2:30pm, which may change due to business demands.
Salary and Benefits
-The salary range for this position is $60k to $70k, depending on experience.
