We are seeking a Full Time Patient Care Assistant to join our client's team in Indianapolis, IN!Full Time: 10am-6pm$16-$18 per hour (depending on experience)-Mileage and gas are reimbursed .50 cents per mile.Requirements
At least 1 year of patient care experience.
Active Driver’s License.
Auto insurance.
Must be able to clear a background check (background check scans entire record for lifetime).
TB vaccination or the ability to be vaccinated.
Job Description
Patient Care Assistants (PCA) will be primarily working with geriatric patients.
PCA may need to travel with their patient to run errands (prescriptions, doctor’s appointments, etc.) travel is limited to a 10-mile radius from home.
PCAs will be primarily out in the field, very rarely going to the office.
Ensure clients receive their medication on time.
Support clients who can’t move on their own.
Help clients dress, bathe, eat, etc.
Assist clients with physical therapy exercises.
Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions.
Help customers with their shopping.
Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment.
Provide emotional support.
Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events.
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
