About Us:
RFL is an unorthodox private equity firm. Unlike a traditional private equity firm, RFL is a search fund which will initially acquire one business and the principal will operate it upon acquisition.
Role Overview:
The Strategic Operations Intern will play a pivotal role in optimizing the effectiveness of our intern team and ensuring that our Principal has a clear and actionable plan each week. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and organized individual to gain valuable experience in operations management and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategize Intern Effectiveness: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the productivity and efficiency of a team of 10 business school undergraduate and graduate interns.
2. Weekly Planning: Create detailed and actionable weekly plans for the Principal to follow, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
3. Coordination and Communication: Act as the central point of contact for intern team coordination, facilitating clear communication and collaboration among team members.
4. Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the progress of intern projects, providing regular updates and feedback Principal.
5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within the intern team.
Support and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to interns, helping them navigate their projects and maximize their contributions to the firm.
Qualifications:
1. Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
2. Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
3. Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
4. Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
5. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
6. Proactive and Resourceful: Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
