1st Shift Welder

Title:  Production WelderReports to:  Production SupervisorJob Purpose:  Primary responsibility is operating MIG welders, but operators may be rotated through other manufacturing processes to support the production schedule.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materialExamine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specificationsRecognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding tradeAnalyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operationsWeld separately or in combinationOperate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. to move raw material and parts as neededAble to lift up to 50lbsPerform other duties as required or assigned by supervisorFollow all OSHA and internal safety standardsMust be flexible and willing to run Laser, Press Brake and other fabrication equipment.
