DescriptionSAIC is looking for a Technical Writer - Document Control candidate in Indiana to support F3016, TACP program in cradle to grave document tracking of all configuration records.Responsibilities and Duties:

Employee tasking will involve the following, but not limited to; Collaborating with LMS, Engineering Techs to develop and track all Configuration Management document and drawings for the TACP system.

Support Government Configuration/Document Manager, working in all aspects of Configuration Management.

This position will be considered the CM/DM Lead and attend monthly Document Custodian Group meetings.

Manage Multiple Websites:

iPDM-There are only two people who have access to make changes within the TACP area on iPDM.

Utilize this site to upload information pertaining to all Drawing Packages, i.e. the actual drawings, parts lists, etc.

Use the information to look up parts that are utilized within the different Drawing Packages and make sure all drawings are the most current. Upload meeting documents to iPDM and post them for public viewing.

CAGE-Verify Cage Codes and the accuracy of our information pertaining to those Cage Codes.

Web Flis- Verify the Cage Code being used in a drawing is the primary buy and not an obsoleted cage code.

Teams- Utilize this for the different teams for meetings. Attend CCB meetings. Transferring documents to their respected area to assist with accessibility issues we are having while the Server is down.

Teams include:

DCP Phase 2-Attend Meetings and CCB’s

JXYALL

STRYKER-Attend Meetings Bi-Weekly, and CCB’s

TAC-P CM

Document/Process Control Team-Attend Meetings Once a Month

TACP ISEA-Attend Meetings every 3rd Thursday

Attend meetings for MCS Block 1 & 2 and all TACP TO Projects

Each month responsible for compiling the Monthly Status Report for the TI-05 contract for SAIC. This consists of receiving all the MSR’s from the 15 SAIC employees, and from the Subcontractors TCS, TMC, Paragon Force, DRA, and Amentum.

Drawing Packages Management:

Deployable Communication Package Phase 2 (DCP2)

DCP2 is on a time constraint to get the Drawing Package finished up and ready for fielding.Redlining drawings that were gone over in the last CCB. During a CCB, the Government Lead, Engineer, Project Manager, and SAIC employee as CM for them.Look over drawings that were selected and make changes/redlines if needed.Take these drawings and make the actual redlines on the computer.Typically check for mistakes while making the redlines, these include but are not limited to:

Date Errors

Spelling/Grammatical Errors

Checking Parts List by Verifying Part Numbers, Nomenclature, Cage Codes, Quantities, Notes, Flags, Specifications and Supplementary Information.

Verifying Callouts on Diagrams are Correct

Verifying each Drawing has CUI Markings, Correct Distribution Statement, and CAD Statement

Proof the TO’s for mistakes/inaccuracies on AMPV, STRYKER, and DCP2

QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience MS Word related to creating technical documentation.

Experience in developing hyperlinked documentation, using desktop publishing software program such as: Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Illustrator or other graphics programs.

Possess a desire to stay in a position long-term, position takes tremendous amount of training to become effective in completion of these WC’s and other technical documentation.

Applicant must have a solid background in MS Word and must be able to read and extract information from engineering drawings.
