The technical skills include the ability to interpret sketches and engineering drawings and have experience using computer applications related to the engineering field.Education/Experienceo Bachelor degree in engineering requiredo 2-4 years'' experience requiredResponsibility levelo Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisorSkillso Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required)o Team player and detail oriented (Required)o Ability to read sketches, engineering drawings and common computations (Typically required)o Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports (Typically required)o Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) (Typically required)Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:o Sketch outline designs and use computer-aided design for detailed design, generating parts lists and specificationso Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas o Consult with the marketing department about upgrading the product, failures in service and reducing the costo Consult with the development engineers about new products and the application of novel technologyo Consider various factors of engineering drawings or diagrams, including use of the product, its environment, materials, the economics of production, safety, legal requirements, quality, production requirements, cost and ease of maintenanceo Support OEM installation designs and reviewo Drive OEM change requests internally
