About this role:  Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer within the Application and Cloud Transformation team.  In this role, you will:  

Act as a key contributor in Building and Enabling the Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Code and engineering solutions to deploy and manage application in cloud.

Closely working with Product Team to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectations.

Contribute to developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions. Design, Optimization and Documentation of the Engineering aspects of the Cloud platform.

Understanding of industry best practices and new technologies.

Review and analyze technology solutions in Cloud for strategic business objectives and solving technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple parameters, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.

Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.

Lead technology Cloud initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.

Working in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years designing, building, and automating solutions utilizing Azure Database services

2+ year’s experience with enabling cloud hosted database services.

2+ years of hands-on exposure and knowledge of cloud automation tools such as Terraform and Github.

2+ years design and implementation experience on Azure with exposure in defining/implementing strategy and roadmap for cloud adoption.

Desired Qualifications:

Preferred to have associate level cloud certification on Azure with specialty in Database.

Refine the functional & non-functional requirements with stakeholders to create fault-tolerant & resilient database solutions in Azure.

In depth,practical experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration, trends and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings

Experienced in implementing risk and control requirements for cloud infrastructure.

Proficient on Managed and unmanaged Database services, have handled at least 2-3 large scale Database Infrastructure build out and provisioning of related services in Azure using IaC (Terraform).

Expertise with planning, modeling, design, implementation, support, and performance optimization to deliver Database as a Service.

Proficient and have a thorough understanding of Cloud service Database offerings on one or more of them – SQL MI/DB, Azure SQL, Posgres Flex Server, Azure Redis Cache

Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure.

Should have good understanding of networking, and exposure to cloud security, IAM, RBAC. Hands on scripting experience (PowerShell etc.)

2+ years leveraging Harness and/or Liquibase for deploying code. Should have exposure to cloud governance and logging/monitoring tools.

Experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.

Job Expectations:

Ability to work onsite in the office in a hybrid model, 3 days per week on-site/in-office and 2 days per week remote

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
