Job Description
One East, a twenty-six bed unit, is the location of our Stroke Rehabilitation Program which provides specialized care in a supportive and compassionate environment. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of physicians who are board-certified in stroke rehabilitation, nurses, therapists, nursing assistants, psychologists, dietitians and chaplains. Our Nursing goal is to focus on our patients comprehensive treatment plans and help them in regaining the highest level of function, mobility and independence to prepare them for when they return home. We work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and our unit recently received the Illinois Hospital Association Quality Excellence Achievement Award! This is a full-time PCT position scheduled to work theNight shift from 10:30pm to 7:00am40 hours a week, 80 hours biweekly on our Stroke Unit at Marianjoy in Wheaton. The PCT assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critically ill patients.
Qualifications
Requirements: Minimum: Current Nursing Assistant certification. Exception-if a nursing student, CNA is not required if two clinical rotations have been completed. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs. Education: Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. Licensure: Minimum: CERT CNA,CERT BLS
