Full-TimeWestmont, IL, USADescriptionThe material handler will be responsible for transporting parts, bar stock to machines, and components from their location to the appropriate assembly station. This person will need to keep up with demand, and supply stations consistently until work order is complete. Records daily production information as instructed and monitors chip wringer operation. This individual will also be required to perform quality and timely assembly of needed components using fingers/hands, small hand tools, or machinery.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate weight and count scale
Outsource material from factory to warehouse daily
Rectify inventory issues
Use proper materials for job (pallet, box) when packing material
Create manifests for shipping to outside vendors
Communicate with warehouse and factory shuttle drivers when material needs to move
Perform assembly tasks
Help out other material handlers on factory floor by taking out cardboard, empty cages, wash parts, and move parts to next location
Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES:
Fork lift certified- or willing to be certified
Overhead crane certified- or willing to be certified
Be able to lift up to 70 pounds
