Position Summary:

We are excited to be introducing the Young Minds Center in our brand new, state-of-the-art location! We are building something special to make a difference for all the youth in our community. This position will be relocating to our new building later this year – come join us! The Receptionist greets visitors by welcoming and directing them to the correct department. Receptions is also responsible for the following duties: notifying team members of visitor/client arrival, maintaining a quiet and secure front office area, complete EPIC referrals, opens and distributes mail, oversees mail room and ensure paper, printer cartridges and other supplies are stocked, manages the telecommunications system, coordinates and manages Congregate Meal attendance. Oversee front reception area and route all calls and clients to the appropriate department and team member in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Must be able to type 50wpm.Must have strong phone skills to answer and direct multiple phone lines in a polite and friendly manner.Must be able to count and document cash and checks received by mail. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with persons with hearing and/or speech impediments as well as disabled both face to face and on the phone.Must be able to read and understand forms and material presented by persons seeking assistance with information.Must be able to operate office equipment and be efficient in Microsoft Office for financial and administrative tasks.

Essential Functions:

Manage the telecommunications system. Answer and route all telephone calls.

Greet, welcome and direct all visitors to appropriate office or staff with pleasant and personal demeanor.

Obtain daily attendance of staff in Danville and Champaign offices. Update attendance board.

Open and distribute mail.

Endorse all incoming receipts and give to bookkeeper.

Assist in completion of SIS forms when appropriate.

Responsible for reception area and coverage of office during open hours.

Take meal counts and relay information to kitchen staff.

Oversee mail room and ensure paper, printer cartridges and other supplies are stocked.

Responsible for accurate statistics on clients in ACORN, Airtable and EPIC.
