Position Summary:
The Patient Services Supervisor supervises Patient Care Service staff Med Subspeciality Clinics at Curtis and Windsor.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Associate's Degree or CHAA certification within one (1) year of employment CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Successful completion of medical terminology course within one (1) year of start date in position. Completion of Foundations of Leadership/Leadership HR series. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS One (1) year Healthcare ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of medical terminology course.
Completion of Foundations of Leadership/Leadership HR series.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Leadership and organizational skills. Possess ability to communicate effectively and work corroboratively with others and to promote good interpersonal relationships for all staff in unit. Ability to motivate, accept and institute changes. Ability to confront, resolve and remain tactful in addressing complaints.
Essential Functions:
Coordinates activities of Patient Care Support staff.
Performs essential job functions as direct reports.
Recommends and initiates various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
Resolves work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issues.
Participates in development and planning of fiscal budget(s).
Disciplinary action under the guidance of Human Resources and the Patient Care Manager. Payroll. Duties assigned by the Patient Care Manager.
