HODGE WESTERN CORPJob Duties Assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in providing the overall administrative and technical direction of the projects. Ensures procurement items (submittals, and long lead items, weather related delays are incorporated into the CPM project schedule and kept current with the regular updates. Monitors the schedule critical path, and takes the necessary action to maintain progress and stay on schedule. Actively assists in the preparation of comprehensive subcontracts and resolution of subcontract interpretation issues. Understand the technical requirements of the project. Manage the Contract Documents and all revisions. Processes shop drawings and product data. Successfully schedule and manage the approval of materials. Resolving problems (RFI's) when they arise. Participates in quality control and subsequent documentation of QC. Expedites distribution of documents to all involved parties. Maintains official project logs and documentation files. Accurately verifies all notes on returned submittals to ensure coordination between subcontractor and customer; notifies team of any changes to the scopes of work in a timely fashion. Utilize spirited initiative, goal setting, and proactive problem solving, thereby ensuring the positive outcome of the project for our client, our company, and our trade partners. Qualifications & Essential Functions: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 2 Years experience in Construction management preferred No prior experience is required if the candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field of study.SKILLS Must have a strong business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work well and effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project. Experience in AutoCAD a plus but not required Effective written and verbal communicator who can operate within a wide spectrum of trade staff Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast moving and dynamic organization High level of self-motivation and self-accountability. Thrives in a team-environment Ability to manage drawings and specifications Management of Submittals, Requests For Information (RFIs), and Change OrdersManagement process:Assists with schedule updates. Assists the superintendent with quality control. Participates in project meetings. OSHA 30 Certification, or willingness to obtain this within 30 days of hire. CPR Certification, or willingness to obtain this within 30 days of hire.
