Position OverviewThe Install Project Manager manages key client projects to plan, organize, schedule, direct, and control the implementation of Internet Services projects and installs. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time and within scope. This position will oversee all aspects of projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, procurement, vendor relationships, and summarizing progress of projects and preparing reports for customers and management regarding status of project. The Install Project Manager will facilitate the implementation of processes and SOPs that drive consistency in installation execution, optimize deployment of resources and financial management while ensuring adherence to the technical and installation standards in place. The position will require technical understanding of network and wireless fundamentals, IT manufacturer equipment, and standard network installation best practices. The Install Project Manager, IS will report directly to the Director of Engineering, Internet Services which resides within the Schiller Park Corporate office.Key Job ResponsibilitiesCross-functional, Enterprise Projects
Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
Develop Project Management Office (PMO) best practices such as policies, software/tools utilization, processes, templates, and corresponding appropriate communications.
Aid with procurement, receiving, shipping, logistics planning, and vendor relationship management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and provide outstanding customer service, acting as the lead Encore contact throughout the installation process by attending required meetings, creating and maintaining organized installation documentation (project charters/schedules, collateral, etc.) and proactive communication.
Stay current on industry technology, distribution pricing and availability, and network-related best practices and trends.
Reporting
Create and maintain dashboards/reports showing Project Management Office project performance.
Collaborate with EIS sales and support teams on keeping project and accounting databases current.
Report on key project metrics and milestones.
Process improvement
Partnering all EIS and IS teams, monitor the team’s efficiency and productivity using standards and KPIs and by conducting post-close project reviews.
Contribute to the improvement of installation SOPs by suggesting ways to manage cost, improve efficiency or improve the customer experience.
Work with vendors and suppliers to improve availability, lead times and efficiency of project activities.
Sales Support
Assist sales teams with document preparation including overviews, proposals, contracts and installation agreements.
Create customer invoices and document change orders for projects and partner with Accounts Receivable and Accounting to ensure funds are correctly allocated.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
3+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in a Project Management Office (PMO)
Experience or certifications related to Information Technology and PMP preferred
Strong customer service skills, excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills, including client relationship skills
Works well under pressure and ability to multi task, result-orientated mindset
Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Project Management software and MS Office experience preferred
