Job Description: Mechanical Design EngineerWe are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our new product development group. In this role, you will work closely with and under the guidance of a tenured Engineer to develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assembly products. Your focus will be on meeting specifications, schedules, and cost requirements.Responsibilities
Develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assembly products.
Spend a minimum of 75% of your time on development work, with the remaining time dedicated to engineering support duties.
Evaluate and select components and materials used in products to improve reliability, robustness, and quality of design.
Create and maintain documentation necessary for product development and manufacturing that conforms to industry standards.
Run lab experiments and testing, document and analyze results.
Essential Skills
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
Hands-on 3D CAD design skills with 3-8 years of experience.
Experience in designing industrial equipment.
Proficiency in Inventor or Creo.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in custom automation is a plus.
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
Motion systems control knowledge is a plus.
A hands-on approach to problem-solving and a passion for working on mechanical projects in your free time.
