Conduct sample analysis using a variety of analytical techniques as needed, for example, HPLC-DAD/UV, GC, KF, UV, IR, IC, LC-MS, and GC-MS, by completely follow established experimental protocols and assess results with minimal supervision after initial training
Document experimental activities and results in a GMP compliant fashion using an electronic data acquisition and management systems.
Recognize and report experimental variances
Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
Maintain laboratory equipment and optimize laboratory operations for efficient use of time and laboratory supplies/reagents when appropriate
Consult literature to understand the scientific purpose of assignments.
Conduct test method development and validations under supervision
Apply basic scientific principles to research
Learn and effectively implement new experimental protocols and/or techniques
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or closely related scientific field
Demonstrated hands-on experience with HPLC analysis, including basic troubleshooting skills
Some experience and understanding of organic chemistry with respect formation of impurities in small molecule pharmaceuticals
Strong attention to detail in documenting scientific experiments and results
