Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is proactively seeking a temporary Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our Naperville site. This position will be offered as a temporary position.The Microbiology Technician will need a solid understanding of microbiological techniques, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.Sucessful training for position must be completed within two weeks of the start date. Training will consist of filtering and plating biological concentrates. Responsibilities:Perform routine microbiological laboratory procedures and analysesMaintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of lab equipmentIsolate and make cultures of bacteria or other microorganismsDocument all data and results in specified formsConduct microbial analyses of samples collected from various sourcesAdhere to correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelinesPrepare specimens and samples for testingWork in compliance with laboratory safety standardsPrepare detailed reports of laboratory results and findings
