Sr. Director of Marketing Technology

Good Sam is seeking a strategic and results-driven Sr. Director of Marketing Technology to lead the enterprise's marketing technology initiatives. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Good Sam, this role will serve as the driving force behind the development and execution of the marketing technology roadmap. The Sr. Director will work collaboratively with CRM marketing leaders and other cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions that enhance marketing capabilities across the enterprise.Key Responsibilities:Roadmap Development:

Act as the primary driver of the marketing technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with CRM marketing leaders.

Maintain close collaboration with Camping World and Good Sam marketing teams to support enterprise objectives.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Leadership:

Drive the ongoing development of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud roadmap.

Collaborate with CRM teams to ensure tools enable the creation of cross-channel and personalized marketing journeys for all business divisions.

Optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud to align with evolving customer engagement strategies.

Customer Data Platform (CDP) Management:

Oversee the enterprise-wide use of Segment (or equivalent) as the primary CDP tool.

Deliver a scalable path to personalized marketing for all business units by enabling effective audience building and segmentation.

Enhance data accessibility and usability for marketing teams while maintaining operational efficiency.

Preference Management and Compliance:

Manage systems for customer preference and consent, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Work cross-functionally with the data team to implement robust preference management solutions.

Customer Data Integration and Collaboration:

Collaborate with the enterprise data team to enhance the Customer 360/MDM environment.

Ensure customer data from multiple platforms is accurately integrated into the marketing tech stack.

Empower marketing teams to leverage customer insights effectively for campaign personalization.

Marketing Technology Support:

Provide day-to-day support to CRM teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.

Lead marketing technology evolution efforts in alignment with broader IT transformations, including transactional system overhauls.

People Leadership and Project Management:

Build and lead a high-performing Marketing Technology team.

Foster professional growth and ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and tools to succeed.

Oversee project management for the team to ensure timely completion of work.

Maintain transparency by tracking and sharing details about team resources, project assignments, and timelines with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).

10+ years of experience in marketing technology leadership, including expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and CDPs (e.g., Segment).

Proven ability to manage and optimize marketing preference systems and ensure compliance with data regulations.

Strong understanding of enterprise-level customer data integration (Customer 360/MDM).

Demonstrated experience leading IT transformations and supporting CRM teams.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a track record of building collaborative, high-performing teams.

Experience in project management, including resource planning and timeline tracking.

Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a Fortune 500 organization with executive presence and ability to present.

Familiarity with multi-brand marketing environments.

Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.

At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated.
