job detailsA critical part of your role as a Customer Service Benefits Specialist will be offering your healthcare benefit expertise with compassion, empathy and sensitivity to assist our customers in resolving their complex healthcare issues. You will be responsible for answering and handling inbound calls from our customers or supporting outbound appointment calls to our customers and listening intently to their situation to be sure you gather the information needed to obtain an accurate resolution.salary: $16.5 - $17 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 7 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesHandle incoming complex calls or outbound appointment complex callsoffering compassion and empathy while using exceptional listening skills toidentify the customer's needs Resolve customer needs or concerns related to:– clarification and education on the customer's specific benefit plans orprogram options– financial impact of available plan options utilizing knowledge of thefollowing:▪ Payroll premiums▪ Coinsurance▪ Copays▪ Deductible▪ Out of Pocket expenses related to upcoming medical services Utilize bring your own device (BYOD) computer to access customer accountsand plan information to help navigate them to choose the appropriate plan Create, update and process employee's plan election in Alight database Document all inbound calls and summarize calls in the case managementsystem Document all outbound appointments and summarize in the appointmenttool and in call wrap up notes within the customer's accountSkills
