DescriptionSupply Chain Manager opportunity for a successful 20 year old business located in the northern suburbs of Chicago. This is a Direct Hire opportunity and resumes are being reviewed immediately. Must be proficient in the NetSuite platform. This is a new role, and the candidate will report to the Vice President of Operation. Responsibilities include: Forecasting inventory needs based on various demand planning scenarios. Issuing purchase orders to external vendors in accordance with inventory needs. Working with domestic and overseas vendors to obtain the best pricing for various materials; obtaining and comparing quotes. Working with various freight companies to coordinate shipping logistics of materials and finished goods. Tracking freight traffic and keeping all relevant parties advised of ETAs. Migrating the company’s various logistics-planning spreadsheets to the company’s NetSuite platform, which is not currently being used for demand planning or inventory management. For any tasks that cannot be migrated to NetSuite, improving the efficiency of the current processes (via Excel, the current platform, or something else at the candidate’s discretion) For immediate consideration, please apply today.
