Job Title: Quality Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Batch Adjuster in our Quality Control Lab, you will ensure that all prescribed testing of production batches is conducted in accordance with established test methods and that all production batches meet established specifications. You will verify that products meet required color limits and are within specification at the time of filling. You will also approve final fill check panels for production.Responsibilities

Conduct various quality testing including but not limited to color, gloss, viscosity, and physical properties.

Determine adjustments required to bring products into quality specifications.

Keep records of batch adjustments and fill checks on batch tickets.

Follow all ISO procedures.

Prepare fill check panels and give approvals for filling.

Consult with the Quality Manager on various short-term projects to improve the efficiency of the Quality Department.

Transfer hazardous wastes to the satellite hazardous waste area as needed.

Ensure compliance with labeling requirements for hazardous waste containers.

Maintain clean and organized workstations and retain storage areas.

Essential Skills

1-2 years of quality control lab experience, industry-related preferred.

Knowledge of wet chemistry, quality control, and quality assurance.

Ability to perform tests related to color, gloss, viscosity, and physical properties.

Basic math knowledge including percentages and fractions.

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Ability to work with hazardous materials and follow safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Open to new graduates.

Outgoing personality with a willingness to ask questions and show enthusiasm.

Knowledge of colors; candidate must not be colorblind.

Annual RCRA training is required.

Work EnvironmentYou will spend 95% of your time in the lab and 5% on the floor. The role involves working with hazardous materials, requiring the use of lab glasses, button-up shirts, and pants. The work shift is from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional optional weekends during busy periods. Candidates who are left-handed may find this job challenging.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
