Mailroom Assistant

Description We are in need of a Mailroom Assistant to join our team in ELGIN, Illinois. The primary function of this role is to manage and distribute mail, maintain inventory, provide administrative support, and ensure our internal operations run smoothly. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Efficiently sort and process incoming and outgoing mail Regularly pick up mail from designated P.O. Boxes Handle the receipt and signing for FedEx packages Log checks accurately and securely Return mail sent in error or intended for non-clients Assist in the creation of FedEx Slips Provide support to Tax Payment Specialists as needed Enter and organize tax bills and assessor logs Conduct tax bill searches via phone or website Assist in the entry of assessments Support Interns/Tax Analysts as required Print, stuff, and scan returns Create folders for new clients and labels as needed Manage printing of emails sent to the organization. Requirements Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system to manage mailroom operations efficiently. Familiarity with Inkjet technologies for printing and sorting mail. Experience with Konica Minolta equipment, specifically in a mailroom setting. Proficiency in using Kronos Timekeeping System for accurate record keeping. Ability to use Microsoft Access for database management. Knowledge of the 'About Time' system for effective time management. Experience in coordinating Courier Services for dispatching and receiving parcels. Excellent Customer Service skills to address queries and concerns related to mail services. Ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks for record keeping and tracking. Experience in handling Deliveries, ensuring timely distribution and collection of mail.
