Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Cicero, Illinois. This role is pivotal in our team, focusing predominantly on maintaining accurate customer records, processing applications and resolving inquiries. The industry is fast-paced and dynamic, and this role offers the chance to develop and apply your skills in a challenging environment.Responsibilities: Utilize NetSuite and Microsoft Excel to maintain and update customer credit records. Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications. Monitor customer accounts, identifying any issues and taking appropriate action. Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner. Assist in the transition of employees by providing necessary accounting support. Ensure all customer records are compliant with industry standards. Regularly review and update accounting procedures and processes. Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent and accurate accounting practices. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements. Identify and suggest improvements for accounting processes and procedures. Requirements The applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accountant role. Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel is required. The candidate should hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. The ability to prepare financial statements and conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance is expected. The candidate should be able to analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the business's attention. An understanding of, and ability to adhere to, all financial regulations and legislation is necessary. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. The candidate should be detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify numerical errors. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to meet tight deadlines is required. Knowledge of the principles, practices, regulations, and procedures relating to accounting and financial management is expected.
