We're looking for an energized automotive professional with knowledge of diagnostics, service, and repairs to join our team in Chicago!
As a Quick Lube & Tire Technician you will have an opportunity to learn basic automotive repair services, including, basic vehicle safety inspection, mounting and balancing of tires, engine oil change, battery testing and replacement, and other basic maintenance services. Your training will be on the job, working with experienced mechanics. This work requires teaming, respect, and problem-solving with different parts of the organization.
What you’ll do
Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health
Change oil, including installing new oil drain plug and filter
Perform all lubrication services
Complete vehicle inspections
Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
Recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires
Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves
Installing and balancing tires, completing wheel alignment procedures
Clean and detail vehicles, as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and collaborative work environment on a continuous basis
Assist with onboarding and training of new technicians to help up-skill the team
What we look for
1-2 years of automotive experience with hands-on service, maintenance, and repairs
Professional experience with new vehicle dealer services, preferred
Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in automotive services
Capable in mechanical and electrical diagnostics including OBD II
Toyota and Kia experience a plus
Computer proficiency, required
Valid unrestricted driver’s license, required
