Voyage Freight Group is seeking experienced and reliable Owner Operators with their own tractor and dry van trailer to join our team on a contractual basis. As an Owner Operator contracting with Voyage Freight Group, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients.
Requirements:
1. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (If Applicable).
2. Own a well-maintained tractor-trailer in good working condition.
3. Minimum of [2] years of experience as an Owner Operator in commercial trucking, with a clean safety & driving record.
4. Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
5. Strong understanding of transportation laws and regulations.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities:
1. Transport goods and freight in a safe and timely manner to designated locations.
2. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe and proper functioning of the contracted tractor-trailer.
3. Adhere to all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and company policies.
4. Maintain accurate records of trips, including driver logs, fuel receipts, and delivery documentation.
5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
6. Ensure the security of cargo during transit and handle any necessary paperwork or documentation.
7. Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the contracted tractor-trailer, including routine maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
8. Represent Voyage Freight Group in a professional manner at all times, exhibiting excellent customer service skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
