We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Metal Shop Apprentice to join the Flyhouse growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced specialty fabricator on a wide range of custom projects — including the fabrication and assembly of custom hoisting equipment. The right candidate will gain hands-on experience and develop advanced skills in metalworking, fabrication, and shop operations.

Full-time salaried / Part-time hourly options available

What You'll Do:
Assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom metal products and equipment
Learn to work with a wide range of materials including steel and aluminum
Support daily shop operations including measuring, cutting, drilling, and fitting components
Use tools and equipment such as:
o CNC brake and CNC waterjet
o MIG and TIG welders
o Lathe, mill, punch, and shear
o Various hand and power tools
Follow project plans and drawings under the guidance of a lead fabricator
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
What We're Looking For:
Basic experience working with metal in a metal shop setting
Comfortable using measuring tools, saws, drills, grinders, and other equipment
Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop advanced fabrication skills over time
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a solid work ethic
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Safety-conscious and mechanically inclined
High school diploma or GED preferred
