Small/growing remodeling company on North side needs a skilled person strong in residential remodeling: plumbing and electrical first, then carpentry(rough in and finish), tiling, and drywall/painting. Ideal person will have all of these skills, but primarily plumbing and electrical. Our work generally spans from South Loop to Wilmette, rarely West of 94. If your more than an hour away, this will not work for you. Must have strong plumbing skills(drain and valve installations, sweating copper, walk-in shower, etc) and strong electrical skills(trouble shooting existing wiring, doing finish work and aware of codes, etc). Ability to do carpentry, tiling and drywall a bonus and more likely for full time. And of course, you would need a proper work van/truck and your own tools.

Candidate must be fast and efficient, hard working, honest, a good trouble shooter, very experienced, pass a background check, be personable and be prompt with a neat appearance. Position may be part or full time, depending on skills. Having workmans' comp or being bilingual a plus. Must have own transportation and tools. Pay would range from $18-$35 an hour, depending on skills, professionalism, p.t./f.t., etc and be okay with/experienced with 1099 work. We can possibly work on a per job basis as well. Roughly estimating pay would run as follows:
$18-20/hr. Laborer/Apprentice
$20-26/hr. Painting/drywall
$22-30/hr. Strong Tile experience.
$22-30/hr. Ability to run/complete projects with full plumbing/electrical/carpentry skills.
$30-35/hr. Has full insurance(including workman's comp)/rough in/finish work skills to complete a project start to finish.
Pay is negotiable depending on skill set.
All candidates must have tools/van or truck and be very professional in all aspects of work.
