Kelvin Company LLC is a small Concrete Contracting Firm that is dedicated to the installation of Concrete throughout the Northshore, Chicagoland Area. We are currently seeking an experienced Concrete foreman to assist with the day to day construction management and to oversee our Concrete crews and Jobsites. We are a dynamic and fast-growing business and which this exciting opportunity awaits the right person. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1: Direct activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to: coordinating work flow, hands on work,
operating a variety of machinery (Skidsteers, Backhoes, Etc.)
2: Manage personnel effectively and efficiently
3: Communicating production goals (and other items) with crew members, supervisors, and customers
4: Train and promote the development of employees in the best practices of installation and company standards
4: Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery for needed maintenance
5: Reading of Blueprints, use of lasers and Transits for determining elevations of new concrete
6: Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
7: Installation of flatwork (Framing, grading, pouring of concrete, finishing and stamped concrete)
8: Knowledgable, able to determine layout, frame foundation walls with Symon Forms
9: Framing, finishing of concrete stoops, stairs,
10: Must have resume
QUALIFICATIONS:
1: Minimum 6-7 years experience with concrete construction
2: Experience leading and directing Concrete crew
3: Experience with framing for all concrete flatwork, foundations walls
4: A valid Illinois driver's license
5: The ability to lift 50+ lbs
6: Experience with operation of heavy equipment for the installation of flatwork and foundation
7: The ability to communicate in English, Spanish speaking is a plus
8: A positive attitude
9: Operate and drive pickup truck with plow in winter months if concrete work is not available

Starting pay $30.00-$44 per hour (no cash) depending on experience
