Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist with a strong foundation in networking to join our team. This role involves providing top-notch support for phone systems, troubleshooting phone and network-related issues, and ensuring seamless communication infrastructure for our clients or internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for phone systems, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Diagnose and resolve issues such as call quality, dropped calls, and connectivity problems.

Assist with the installation and maintenance of phone and network equipment.

Analyze network performance to ensure optimal conditions for voice services.

Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve advanced voice or networking issues.

Maintain and update technical documentation, including system configurations and support processes.

Educate end-users on phone system features and best practices.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and networking advancements.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in technical support roles.

Understanding of voice protocols such as SIP, RTP, and QoS is a plus, but not required.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and NAT.

Hands-on experience with networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Draytek, Ubiquiti, etc.).

Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools like Wireshark or similar.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.

Experience with cloud-based voice solutions (e.g., RingCentral, 8x8, or Broadsoft) is a plus.

Familiarity with ITSM tools like Zendesk, ServiceNow, or Jira.
