We are in a fast-paced environment and need a team-player who is eager to learn and grow with the company. The primary focus of this position is to assist all Stylists and Colorists with their day-to-day needs in fulfilling services clients.
The job responsibilities will include [but are not limited to]:
Assist the Stylists and Colorists with their day-to-day needs in coloring, styling, and cutting hair; assistant should be comfortable shampooing client’s hair and providing conditioning treatments
Regular cleaning of salon throughout the day; wiping down stations, shampoo bowls and mirrors between each client; sweeping hair off floor; ensure salon is clean and ready for clients each day
Assist in maintaining stylist stations and carts; tools should be regularly cleaned according to industry standards; complete opening and closing checklists and maintain inventory and supplies
Opportunity to participate in weekly hair cutting and styling apprenticeship classes with owner and senior stylists during allocated time (Cosmetology License required)
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with clients at all times; abide by company dress code
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers, coworkers and management
Exceptional time management skills, exhibiting sound judgment and the ability to prioritize
Physical fitness due to the nature of the job that requires being on your feet most of the day, physical stamina is required
Experience
Cosmetology License (or current enrollment) is required
Job Type: Part-time, up to 36 hours per week.
Hours: We are open Tuesday through Saturday.
