Job Requirements:
An understanding of customer service, with a concierge mind set
Ability to work with a team
Ability to pay attention to details
Ability to learn about and operate all doors, door hardware, heavy gates, fences, a variety of door hardware, locks
Ability to patrol a large college style campus on foot, this campus includes a good amount of stairs
Dependable transportation, especially in the winter months
A great attitude and the ability to deal with a variety of people and teams is a must
Applicants must have a mind set for safety and security
Must be able to pass background checks and a drug test
Have a basic understanding of technology and be able to complete basic tasks on a computer
Must be available for special events as they come up on the school calendar
Professional appearance
Ability to work outdoors for certain portions of the day in all types of weather conditions

Job Responsibilities:
Have flexible availability
Check all campus buildings and spaces before the school day begins
Welcome students, faculty and staff to campus in a professional and kind way with a positive attitude
Check in contractors and visitors through our security processes
Be on the look out for any unsafe conditions on campus at all times
Communicate with safety and facilities team about campus matters everyday
Ability to operate heavy gates, fences, a variety of door hardware as needed
Monitor closed circuit camera system
Patrol the campus on regularly scheduled rounds
Work with building facilities team, custodial team, faculty and staff to help create a safe environment
Document any “incidents” via incident reports
Collaborate with security, safety and facilities teams to create systems to make our campus safe and secure
Work with CFD, CPD and other outside organizations to help optimize safety
Traffic management during school drop off and school pick up
Be on campus for special events that may not fall into “regular” schedule or hours
Learn “fire, life, safety” components of our campus. I.e… Sprinkler systems, fire and smoke alarms, AED’s.
Help facilities in organizing and running fire / life / safety drills…. Fire drills, active shooter drills, evacuation drills, severe weather drills.
Assist with the needs of the faculty in the school with basic security, safety and facilities tasks
