Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Manager to oversee our day-to-day shipping and logistics operations. This individual will be responsible for managing order fulfillment, coordinating with carriers, maintaining shipping software (such as ShipStation), and ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective deliveries to our customers. You’ll play a key role in streamlining shipping processes and improving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily shipping operations and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders
Use and optimize ShipStation (or other shipping software) for batch printing, automation, and rate comparison
Coordinate with carriers (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx) to schedule pickups and resolve shipping issues
Maintain shipping supplies inventory and reorder as necessary
Track shipments and update customers on order status as needed
Implement strategies to reduce shipping errors and delays
Collaborate with customer service to handle shipping-related inquiries or complaints
Must be willing to undergo a background check and have a clean record to be eligible for employment.
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in a shipping/warehouse/logistics role, preferably in e-commerce or a product-based company
Proficiency with ShipStation or similar shipping platforms is required
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Experience working with domestic and international carriers
Ability to lift packages up to 40 lbs and perform basic warehouse tasks
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Familiarity with inventory software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus
