Advance Automation Company is a Chicago-based privately-held cylinder manufacturer founded in 1960. The company supports the sales and service of its product line through a nationwide network of distributors, who sell mainly to OEM end users.
We are seeking a full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk to play a vital role in our operations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, and trucking companies) to schedule pickups and deliveries
Maintain organized packing supplies inventory and update records in the system
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials shipments
Requirements:
Willingness to learn our systems
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving required
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to lift and move heavy packages
Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette for dealing with carriers
Must have basic computer skills
Works well with others in the organization
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a fork lift; fork lift certification a plus
Compensation Package:
$19/hour
