Job Description:
Position: CNC Operator
Location: Franklin Park, IL
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to fabricate door components according to provided specifications and design drawings.
Set up and load raw materials such as wood, metal, or composite materials into CNC machines.
Program CNC equipment based on job requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Monitor machine operations to detect any deviations from specifications or malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or defective parts.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with design specifications.
Collaborate with other team members, including designers, engineers, and production staff, to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries in the workplace.
Maintain detailed records of production activities, including machine settings, materials used, and production times.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably within the woodworking or metalworking industry.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to consistently produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production targets and deadlines.
