Open Position: CAD-Solidworks Programmer/Machine Operator
Role description and Objective:
Develop detailed 2D / 3D CAD drawings,
Following complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings
Collaborating with management to understand project requirements and specifications
Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate parts
Taking verbal direction and implementing into sketches and calculations to produce the final work
Producing drawings from rough written works-up’s or verbal direction
Reverse-engineering
Planning and drawing details of current orders or prospect orders in Metal Fab
Ability to run machinery (lasers, press brake) or willingness to learn
CAD operators can be known by other names, such as shop floor hand, machinery operators, and each have some role-specific duties that they do.
Modifying existing drawings and plans as needed to accommodate changes in design or project.
Ensuring designs and drawings comply with standards, tolerances and project requirements.
Conducting quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
Diploma or Certification in CAD Programming (sheet metal is a plus)
2+ years of experience as a CAD (entry level ok)
Ability to read blueprints and fab shop drawings
Experience in Solidworks Sheet Metal and Fab (entry level: OK)
Being able to defi ne problems and find solutions for them
Knowledge in using different software including Solidworks, Google Sketch, Gmail Suite.
Solid technical drawing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
