We are seeking a lead mixer, batching team-lead to support our pet-treat manufacturing facility. Second chance employer.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily dough mixing operations according to recipes and production schedules.
Accurately measure and scale ingredients for multiple batches.
Operate and maintain commercial mixers and related equipment.
Monitor dough quality, adjusting for hydration, temperature, and quantity needs.
Direct and coordinate with QC, bakers, and prep staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Track ingredient usage and communicate supply needs to management.
Train and mentor new mixing staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous commercial baking or mixing experience strongly preferred.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and consistency.
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced, and noisy kitchen environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts.
Basic math skills for scaling and measuring recipes.
Leadership skills and the ability to direct others.
