We are looking to hire a full-time field worker to join the More Than a Carpenter, Inc team. The services we provide centers around working for Townhome and Condo Associations property managers throughout the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Roughly 90% of the work we perform is on the outside of these buildings. We do however periodically gain access into resident’s units to make drywall repairs. We are looking for a reliable individual who “can fix anything!” Work is done Monday thru Friday from 7:30 and 4:30.
Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have vehicle along with good driving record and auto insurance. Ladder rack would be a plus.
- Comfortable with climbing on ladders and working on roofs.
- Courteous and excellent people skills as you will be periodically entering resident's homes.
- Experience in drywall repairs and/or painting a plus.
- Experience in making repairs to exterior doors a plus.
- Knowledge of tracing and repairing leaks a plus.
- Minor electrical and the ability to install light fixtures and or sensors a plus.
- Minor plumbing and knowledge in basic plumbing for installation of exterior spigots a plus.
- Able to make minor roof repairs a plus.
- Able to make exterior siding repairs a plus.
- Able to clean out gutters and clear downspout a plus.
- Trustworthy and drug free.
Willing to train the right candidate.
