DENTAL ASSISTANT or DENTAL TX PLAN COORDINATOR (DES PLAINES)

We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant and Dental Tx Plan coordinator to provide outstanding patient care in our Des Plaines office.

Excellent hourly compensation ($18-$25+/hr., based on experience)

Must be able to work the following work Schedule:

Monday: 10am-6pm

Tuesday: 10am-6pm

Wednesday: 9am-5pm

Thursday: 10am-7pm

Friday/Saturday Alternating: 9am-2pm

Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.

- Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of patients during a variety of operative treatment procedures.

- Provide a 5-star Patient experience.

- Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.

- Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, orthodontics, pediatric, endodontic, periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery.

- Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4 handed dentistry).

- Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment.

- Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.

- Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.

- Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.

- Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.

- Monitor daily supplies for restocking.

- Assists the dentist in providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.

- Follows infection control protocol by preparing and sterilizing instruments, equipment, and all clinical settings.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Required: at least six months of dental assistant experience.

- Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.

- Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.
