We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Licensing Coordinator on our Health Solution team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office. As a Licensing Coordinator, you will research CPT licensees’ usage as compared with their contracts and potential unlicensed use vs. AMA licensing policy and fair use standards. Compile findings for use by the CPT Licensing and Compliance team to ensure all users’ license agreements and payments are current, contributing to HS and AMA financial results. As an individual and project team member, contribute to business process excellence within the CPT Licensing department. RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and analyze usage

Complete research on current CPT licensees that includes past royalty information, contract terms and internet research to determine uses of CPT

Research unauthorized use of AMA content as directed by management: examine user websites, complete inquiry calls and provide written documentation of findings

With manager, prioritize accounts for further action

Licensing process execution

Enter royalty data and other licensee data in various platforms/spreadsheets as instructed by management; report data to interested parties accurately and promptly

Ensure all data is correct and accurate, escalating issues to manager as appropriate

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience

At least two years’ experience in related areas such as research assistant, administration or order processing

Demonstrated ability to learn effectively and communicate clearly; demonstrated ability to exercise discretion

Ability to interpret license terms and fair use principles, and incorporate this understanding in analysis of current and potential licensees’ usage

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; internet research skills preferred

Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and communicate status of assignments

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member, including working cooperatively with departmental staff and staff in other organizational units
