Entry-Level Environmental Engineer

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to be based in Chicago, Illinois. This position is expected to begin in May 2025.The Entry-Level Environmental Engineer will work with a diverse team of engineers, project managers and technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Project Field and Office Support for Site Assessment and Remediation Projects.Conducting environmental field work, including soil logging, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of field subcontractors, drilling, well installation, development operations and utility clearance for intrusive operations.Work on interesting, fast-paced projects with the opportunity to learn and expand skills.Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories.Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.Builds analytic and design skills.Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer or project manager.Frequently lifting, carrying, and loading equipment such as sample coolers, without assistance up to 50lbs.
