Chief Engineer

The Chief Engineer will have authority to direct the CMI workforce overseeing all operations and maintenance work performed at CMI’s customer site in Chicago, Illinois.Key Job FunctionsResponsible for the safe, economical operation of the plant and for all persons employed under his/her directionResponsible for the orientation and training of Engineers and Trainees under his/her directionWill carry out the orders of the management in the operation of the buildingResponsible for workload management, planning, supervision and inspectionsOversee and assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnoses and repairs to facilities equipment, fixtures, and propertyPerform QC inspections and produce QC reportsOversee all phases of repair workPerform inspections of building equipment and systemsOversee scheduled maintenance and repair projects, and processing work ordersReview project completion to ensure compliance with building standards and to ensure that work meets customer satisfactionMaintain records and prepare required reportsPerform other related duties as required
