Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst in the Insurance - Health industry based in Chicago, Illinois. This role entails providing analytical support for strategic initiatives using software like SQL, Excel, and Cognos, and conducting industry research. You will be expected to administer and maintain data, lead reporting efforts, and develop business and technical processes.Responsibilities: Analyze claims and enrollment data for strategic initiatives Administer and maintain quarterly Inter-Plan Program Enrolment processing to ensure data accuracy Lead the development of business and technical processes for National Programs initiatives Create and maintain business documentation, including presentations, SOPs, and training materials Use SQL, Excel, and Cognos for data synthesis and analysis Communicate cross-functionally and present findings to stakeholders Provide training provision and team oversight for scope development Act as the primary contact for internal technical staff and Plan business/technical staff Support the implementation of national program initiatives Ensure the accuracy of all deliverables and lead reporting efforts for market solutions initiativesRequirements A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar role within the health insurance industry. Advanced proficiency in BusinessObjects Technologies, Data Visualization, Analytics, and Business Intelligence (BI). Proficient in using data analysis tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft SQL. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and convert them into actionable business insights. Outstanding problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data in a clear, understandable manner. Proven experience in project management and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing BI solutions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work outputs.
