BI Engineer ( Chicago or Boston )

As a BI Engineer, your primary role will be to deliver business intelligence services, lead BI software development, and present Power BI reports. You will transform raw data into cohesive, valuable reports capturing meaningful business insights.Duties and ResponsibilitiesList the primary job duties and responsibilities using headings and then give examples of the types of activities under each heading.Partner closely with internal stakeholders’ to understand business needs and gather requirements for data visualization and the development of business intelligence reportingAssist with business analysis, requirements definition, source data identification, data quality definition, transformation, and summarization processesCollaborate with analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposesCreate, maintain and enhance queries and stored procedures that support the BI environmentCreate complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysisMonitor data quality and reliability via thorough data verification and ongoing quality checks Troubleshoot, resolve issues, and offer methods of improvement to existing Power BI reportsDocument processes and provide training and support to end users on methods of data interpretation and optimal pathways to reach decisions or answer key questionsEnsure adherence to data governance and security standardsKeep up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and trends
