Job DescriptionLocation: Chicago, ILHospital: RUSH University Medical CenterDepartment: PhD In Health SciencesWork Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)Shift: Shift 1Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)Summary:The College of Health Sciences at Rush University is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Ph.D. in Health Sciences Program. We are looking for a dedicated and innovative individual with expertise in asynchronous online teaching of education theory, leadership theory, and research courses. The candidate should have a passion for advancing research and education in Health Sciences.Responsibilities: Develop and deliver graduate-level online asynchronous courses in health sciences within the Ph.D. program. Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the curriculum, ensuring alignment with current academic trends and research advancements. Establish and maintain an active research agenda with a focus on contributing to the scholarly knowledge base. Pursue external funding opportunities to support research initiatives and engage in collaborative research projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to PhD students, fostering their intellectual and professional development. Serve as a research advisor for doctoral candidates, assisting with the development and execution of research projects. Contribute to the academic and professional community through active participation in departmental, college, and university committees. Collaborate with external governing bodies, stakeholders, healthcare organizations, and community partners to enhance the program's impact and relevance. Stay current with advancements in health sciences, pedagogy, and research methodologies. Participate in professional organizations and attend conferences to network with peers and share expertise.Job requirements: A doctoral degree is required Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level. Active engagement in research with a record of scholarly publications. Experience and commitment to mentoring graduate students.
