No Duties and Responsibilities Loyola University Chicago is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach assigned courses in Sociology and Women Studies and Gender Studies in accordance with the course syllabi. Provide educational advising and mentoring to undergraduate and graduate students. Conduct research, present scholarly work through academic conferences, and produce scholarly publications. Serve on department, college, university, and other academic unit committees, for both Sociology and Women’s Studies and Gender Studies, and to participate in university events. Participate in professional organizations and perform professional functions such as serving on committees and in leadership roles. Design qualitative research methods and conduct systemic literature reviews. Identify, apply, and secure external research grants and fellowships. Undertake international field research and analyze qualitative research data. Author original research papers and present and publish at reputable scholarly conferences and journals. Qualifications ABD or earned Ph.D. Degree in Sociology. Prior experience must include: Design qualitative research methods and conduct systemic literature reviews (3 yrs); Identify, apply, and secure external research grants and fellowships (3 yrs); Undertake international field research and analyze qualitative research data (3 yrs); Author original research papers and present and publish at reputable scholarly conferences and journals (3 yrs).Physical Demands None Working Conditions None Minimum Education and/or Work Experience ABD or earned Ph.D. Degree in Sociology.
