Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced or willing candidate to teach Concrete Formwork and Shoring Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing formwork and shoring systems for easy and complex concrete structures. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD software, understanding of structural engineering principles, and a passion for designing safe, efficient, and cost-effective systems for large-scale projects.
Requirements:
Must read and understand structural and architectural plans.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or Revit is a plus
Ability to produce accurate and detailed design documents.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under a tight schedule.
Communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Candidate must have the following minimum education:
- Associate degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience
- Portfolio demonstrating drafting capabilities (optional)
Must be authorized to work in the US
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop concrete formwork and shoring systems for various types of construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to define design requirements and ensure designs meet project specifications.
Prepare material and equipment lists for formwork and shoring systems.
Provide technical support to construction teams during the installation and execution phases.
Troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues on-site.
Utilize AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks , to create detailed drawings and models.
Review and approve shop drawings, ensuring that they meet design specifications and are ready for fabrication and installation.
Maintain knowledge of the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in formwork and shoring design.
