The freelance bookkeeper position starts 5-8 hours per day, two days per week. Ideal candidate is proficient in QBOL and works in an organized and efficient manner. Serious candidates only for in-office work, NOT a remote work position.
This person will be able to:
-Enter and pay vendor bills
-Download and post all banking and credit card activity to the proper accounts in QBOL using the banking function
-Reconcile bank and credit card statements
-Record journal entries as needed for monthly reclassifications
-Assist with monthly accounting closings
-Prepare and complete payroll on a bi-weekly basis (Paychex Payroll experience helpful but not required)
-Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns
-Assist inventory manager with receiving and tracking vendor bills by order
-Work on the Google Drive with Excel or Google Sheets and Word or Google Docs
-Work on select projects as determined and assigned
-Maintain an organized and orderly work environment
The position is a Contract job, paid at $40 per hour, reported on a 1099 at year end and eligible for expansion and promotion as the company grows. We are willing to teach the right person who possesses some but not all of this experience.
